Lea House Bed & Breakfast
Image

You will be welcomed with a relaxed and homely atmosphere at Lea House – the perfect place to stay .

A 16th Century former coaching inn, it has been  beautifully refurbished but still retains many original features, including exposed beams (apparently recycled from Armada ships!), an inglenook fireplace, antiques and imaginative décor.

Caroline’s AA Award-winning breakfasts are a real treat – all the breads, marmalade and jams are homemade, as are the vegetarian options that are always available.  Our local butcher makes the sausages and cures his bacon and the smoked fish comes down from Fleetwood each week – see the menu on our website.

The spacious bedrooms have kingsize or twin beds, en suite or private bathrooms, all thoughtfully equipped with many extras and toiletries and fluffy towels. All have flat-screen digital tvs, a full hospitality tray and free Wi-Fi.

  • The Hayloft - canopied kingsize bed with en suite bathroom with shower, sofa and armchair, overlooking the garden
  • The Granary - 2 Twin beds or super-kingsize bed with en suite bathroom with shower, armchair
  • The Cider Room - 2 Twin beds with private bathroom with bath and shower, armchair
  • See range of Prices on the Prices tag

There is a pretty walled garden for guests’ use.  There is a gazebo where you can sit and read, have a snack or bring a drink if you wish.

We have no set check-in or check-out times, it is by mutual convenience and agreement and can be early or late.

Dogs are welcome in a dog friendly environment.  There is a field opposite our entrance for your use with dogs.  We have a resident Jack Russell called Jelly Bean who is extremely friendly and welcoming to visiting dogs!  We also have a large tortoiseshell cat called Lilli and a pretty cream cat called Cracker.

  • We always welcome cyclists and can securely store bicycles.
  • There is off-road parking for cars and motorbikes.
  • We also have a hose that can be used if required! and facilities to wash and dry muddy kit if necessary.
